Every year, Formula Woman organises an all-female national competition, designed to attract women into motorsport and to find & develop up-and-coming female racing talent.
In addition to managing the race series, Formula Woman also trains women in the wider areas of motorsport - from performance driving and race-craft through to skills such as fitness, diet, sponsorship and media.

The competition is based on a tough selection process so only the very best drivers secure a place in the Novice Championship. As a result, for 2007, we have introduced Formula Woman Max. This is an "arrive & drive" series open to past competitors and new drivers alike.
The ultimate aim of Formula Woman is to highlight talented women drivers, who will then go on to race in mixed-sex environment. Nikki Welsby, the 2006 Formula Woman Champion will this year race in the Elf Renault Clio Cup (as a support feature to British Touring Cars). Vicky Lloyd, Nikki's runner-up will be testing a Formula BMW with Hyperion whilst pace-setter Helen Ray will be racing a Radical.

Formula Woman attracts a huge amount of media interest, due to not only its very nature but also the way in which we are breaking-down barriers around motorsport. For 2007, we will be the first UK championship to radically address environmental issues.
